01. Is Plannelink a password manager?
No. We don't save passwords, only the inventory of WHERE your assets are located (e.g., 'Account at IBKR', 'Ledger in safe'). Heirs receive instructions to recover assets legitimately, not credentials.
02. Can you read my data?
No. We use Zero-Knowledge encryption: data is encrypted on your device with your Master Password. Not even we have the key. It's technically impossible for anyone (including us) to access your data without your password.
03. What happens if I don't respond to check-in emails?
The system monitors your activity (login). If you don't log in for 30 days, you receive a first verification email. Without response or login: after 7 days you get a reminder, after 3 more days an urgent email, and after 1 final day beneficiaries are notified and receive the inventory. In the Pro version you can configure these timings.
04. Can I export my data?
Yes, at any time. No vendor lock-in. You can download everything in encrypted JSON/PDF format. Learn more on our Export and Portability page.
05. Is it really free?
Yes. The basic plan is free forever and includes all essential features. In the future we'll offer a Pro plan with advanced features (e.g., more beneficiaries, redundant backups), but the core will always remain free.
